Call for Proposals

We are thrilled to announce that we are ready to accept workshop submissions for the Gender Health Conference!

Please read these instructions prior to submitting your form. You will find the form at the end of this page.

All workshops will be presented over 60 minutes on August 29th, 2019.

Please note that all rooms will include a projector screen and projector. However, you must provide your own laptop. If you are using a Mac, please provide your own adapter for projector use. Internet access will be available for presenters.

Presenter Responsibilities:

  • Lead presenter should communicate conference updates to co-presenters
  • Presenters are responsible for making their own travel arrangements
  • Presenters are responsible for registering online for the conference

You will be notified by July 26th, 2019, if your program proposal has been accepted.

The mission of the conference is to provide a platform for education and development of gender health capacity in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The conference is open to members of the transgender, intersex, and queer communities as well as medical and behavioral health providers, offering education, information, and resources to support a more inclusive healthcare system that is affirming of gender and sex diversity.

We are looking for proposals in the following areas:

  • Provider training sessions
  • Evidence-based allyship workshops
  • Professional and community panels
  • Transgender community education (Led by the transgender community)
  • Transgender, gender non-binary, and intersex resources and support
  • Celebration and empowerment of transgender, gender non-binary, and intersex folks
